Department of Environmental Sciences (Established in : 1995)
Department of Environmental Sciences was established in 1995 under the Faculty of Applied Sciences & Technology. It is located at Kariavattom campus of Kerala University, about 15 km North of Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway and Bus Station, in the NH 47 road. It is a teaching-cum-research department. Department has a Water Testing Laboratory approved and accredited by the Kerala State Pollution Control Board, and offers consultancy in drinking water quality testing. For more details and cost of analysis click button Consultancy.

|Mr.Junaid Hassan, Research Scholar, Dept. of Environmental Sciences got Joint NAM S&T Centre - ZMT Bremen (Germany) Fellowship in Tropical Coastal Marine Research for the year 2017.Under this scheme, the NAM S&T Centre sponsors up to five scientists each year. He is the only one scientist selected from India.|
