It is proud to share that the only chair in Kerala in the name of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar .centre for Human Rights and Social Justice is functioning in this Department. This centre has a well maintained library which is open to the members of public for reference.

The Department has established a Kerala University Legal service clinic so as to ensure the constitutional mandate of equal justice and free legal aid. The clinic is established not only to provide legal service to poor and underprivileged society but has plans to organize other activities like legal literacy programmes, conducting Lok Adalats, seminars and workshops etc.

 The Department has a Journal  named as, Kerala University  Journal Legal Studies
