A pass in the Pre-degree/Plus two examination or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Kerala University. Students who have passed the Second year of the Ganabhooshanam Examination are also eligible to apply for admission to I BPA Degree Course. The selection of students will be on the basis of an aptitude test. Students who have passed Pre-degree/Plus two with Music as one of their Optional subjects and those who have passed the second year Ganabhooshanam Examination will be given a weightage of 25 marks for selection for admission to the BPA Degree Course. (1) Students who have passed examinations equivalent to Pre-degree from other recognized Universities/Boards are also eligible to apply.(2) Students who have passed B.A. & B.Sc. degree examinations in other subjects can be admitted to the Second Year BPA Degree Course (provided they come out successful in the aptitude test). The above rules are applicable for admission to BPA for students not only of Vocal Music but also of all types of instrumental Music and students of Dance. Candidates who have passed B.A/B.Sc./B.Com. degree examination from other Universities can be permitted to join I year BPA if they fulfill eligibility condition. Candidates who are admitted to the Second year of the BPA Degree Course under Optional change can appear for Part II Additional Language (Sanskrit which is Compulsory) after a period of one academic year at one sitting and for Part III Subjects after a period of two years in one sitting.
